Robert Hong, MD


Dr. Robert HongDr. Robert Hong is currently the Chief Of Staff at The Queen's Medical Center. He is also the Medical Director of The Queen's Heart Physician Practice.

Dr. Hong specializes on Electrophysiology and General Cardiology. Dr. Hong received his doctorate in Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco and advanced training in cardiology and clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Los Angeles County, University of Southern California Medical Center.  He also received certification in Transplantation Cardiology by the United Network for Organ Sharing.

Dr. Hong returned to Hawaii soon after his Fellowship in Adult Cardiology and started his practice in 1987. He is also Associate Professor and Chief of the Division of Cardiology at the University of Hawaii's John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM). He is Program Director for the Cardiovascular Diseases Fellowship program, started in July 2010. Dr. Hong is renowned for his teaching skills and has received several Excellence in Teaching Awards from JABSOM.
